Opal Greenway is an accomplished healthcare and finance professional who focuses primarily on the strategic needs of healthcare service providers. For over a decade, Opal has focused on assisting physicians, hospitals and health systems around provider strategy, engagement and alignment. Her advisory practice addresses the strategic and operational needs in physician practices, ambulatory development, compensation, valuations, capital planning, transactions and regulatory compliance. She joined Stroudwater in 2015.
Opal is an expert at facilitating discussions between medical staff, clinician partners, and C-suite executives to optimize their alignment, including defining and assessing the value and risks of different initiatives. Opal is called upon as an expert witness and advisor by both health systems and providers for litigation support, community hearings and regulatory processes. As a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), Opal provides fair market value opinion in support of regulatory compliance. Before joining Stroudwater, Opal served the healthcare community as a compensation consultant and investment banker.
In her free time, Opal is active in health and fitness communities as a Level 1 CrossFit Certified trainer, an Olympic and power lifting competitor, and a youth fitness program director. She and her husband reside in Nashville with their son and three dogs.
Opal earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama and her Master of Business Administration degree (Beta Gamma Sigma) from the University of Alabama’s Manderson Graduate School of Business. She holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in Law & Society from Cornell University. Opal is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) accredited by the National Association of Credentialed Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Opal is also a founding member of WRHEN.
