Stroudwater Associates, the nation’s leading source for strategic, operational, financial, and clinical strategy for Rural & Community Healthcare, has announced twhe addition of Kathi Fortin, MPH, as Stroudwater’s State Contract Coordinator.
In conjunction with the Stroudwater consultant team, Fortin will lead all State Office of Rural Health initiatives and provide the guidance and expertise needed to deliver the highest quality support to Stroudwater’s State Office partners. Her areas of focus include Small Rural & Community Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP), Medicare Rural & Community Hospital Flexibility Programs (FLEX), project management and performance improvement. Fortin joins Stroudwater armed with over thirty years’ experience in healthcare, and over fifteen years’ experience of grants management of Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) federally qualified health center grant requirements.

Fortin most recently served as Director of Quality and Patient Safety at MaineHealth Integrated Quality Department, where she designed and facilitated interdisciplinary, cross-functional improvement initiatives. Her experience includes multiple healthcare settings and vulnerable populations including public health, home health, health care for the homeless, maternal and child health, federally qualified health centers, and county corrections.
